D.G. IVEY LIBRARY
PROJECT BY IRIS DIEP
When asked to create a magical library, we have come to the conclusion that something magical is an experience. Creating a memorable experience in a library is important because stereotypically, a library is perceived as boring. To create a magical library would be to make the library a fun space and make the users excited with anticipation for their next visit. To do so,the stereotypical library is used as a contrast to the fun and exciting areas that are created to
make the library magical. One key element of the magical experience is to have the entrances of the exciting areas hidden in plain sight. This will all be located at the D. G. Ivey Library located near the University of Toronto to hopefully attract students and increase the library’s popularity, status, and change the image that is attached to a library.
